From being forced to repeat the first grade, to being laid off after a successful 12-year career at a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, to regaining her health after a serious car accident, iron-willed determination is the X-factor that makes Ms. Edwards different from most. Ms. Edwards was named Hispanic Business Magazine's Businesswoman of the Year for 2011. Her philanthropies include the Fisher House for families of severely wounded military personnel at Lackland Air Force Base and the Audie Murphy VA Hospital.
